Position: MEDICAL SUPPORT SERVICES PROFESSIONAL with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will use quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and operations in meeting established goals, measures, and objectives.
* You will plan, coordinate, and present a comprehensive accreditation training course for newly arrived Medical Department Officers and Staff to strengthen their awareness of the program and their role in the successful implementation of this program.
* You will be responsible for assuring the accuracy and validity of provider's credentials through monitoring the verifications and confirmation of information such as education, training, licensure, certification, experience, clinical competence, etc.
* You will provide technical assistance pertaining to credentialing/privileging matters to Medical Department personnel assigned to operational units and staffs of USFF AOR.
* You will direct, draft letters, memoranda, directives, and messages from oral instructions or from rough drafts directly into finished form.
* You will review correspondence prepared for the signature or review of the Fleet Surgeon, Deputy Fleet Surgeon, ensuring that it conforms to the Navy Correspondence Manual and all other pertinent instructions and notices

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications To qualify for a GS-09, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience performing tasks related to medical credentialling and privileging.
* Experience analyzing reports and extracting data for tracking.
* Experience utilizing online databases to input and extract data.
* Experience as a team member, communicating and acting on leadership priorities. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Occasional travel to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Hospital and TAD travel may be required.
