Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an experienced Sr. Laboratory Scientist to work full days in the Core Lab. A generous sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates.

• Perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes.
• Recommend contingency testing as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and manage daily technical operations.
• Provide staff training and education.
• Implement instrumentation and oversee its performance.
• Ensure accreditation readiness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Biology/Chemical Science (required).
• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification (required).

Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience required.
