**** Sentara Leigh Outpatient Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacist In Charge
**** Schedule
* ** Full-Time (40 hours/week)
* Day Shift
** Job Description
*** Ensures the appropriateness of all provider medication orders in maintaining a high level of patient care and safety
* Participates in the training of new employees and the development of training materials
* Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
* Precepts pharmacy students and/or pharmacy residents as assigned in operational oversight of area of practice
* Leads the implementation of various system initiatives at both local and system levels
* Serves as a system expert and site lead in specialized pharmacy operations in area of practice (e.g., compounding, drug diversion, quality, and or safety)
* Resource for the staff on operational issues related to pharmacy practice
* Additional duties may be assigned as needed
* May be responsible for pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) duties when applicable
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
* Required license must be valid in the state of practice

* ** Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
* Active Virginia Pharmacist License
* Minimum of three years of pharmacist experience
** Preferred
* ** Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
* Ambulatory or Outpatient Pharmacy experience
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience

Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
