Are you a hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, coordinating events, and creating memorable guest experiences? Join our team as a Banquet Captain and play a key role in executing weddings, conferences, galas, and special events with excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DOEvent Leadership Coordinate banquet setup, execution, and breakdown
Lead banquet service teams during events
Conduct pre-function staff meetings
Prepare server assignments and service plans
Direct service timing and event flow Communicate updates and changes throughout events
Guest Service Serve as the primary contact for event hosts
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
Ensure exceptional service throughout all functions
Maintain guest confidentiality at all times
Event Operations Inspect banquet rooms for cleanliness and proper setup
Ensure tables, equipment, and service stations meet hotel standards
Review event details, attendance numbers, VIP guests, and special requests
Coordinate with culinary and banquet management teams
Oversee final room breakdown and cleanup
Team Collaboration Support banquet staff to ensure seamless service
Work closely with chefs, managers, and hotel departments
Communicate service needs and operational requirements effectively

Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
Experience1-2 years of banquet or food and beverage experience preferred
Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred
Experience with POS systems preferred
Microsoft Office experience preferred
Skills
Strong leadership and organizational abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong guest service focus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Minimum age of 21 years to serve alcoholic beverages PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Carry banquet trays weighing approximately 20 pounds
Lift and transport up to 50 pounds
Push and pull carts and equipment up to 150 pounds
Stand and walk for extended periods
Perform frequent physical movement throughout event spaces
Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and noise levels
