Towne Insurance is hiring an Insurance Talent Acquisition Officer to join our team. The Insurance Talent Acquisition Officer actively and proactively sources candidates through networking, direct outreach, talent pipeline development, referrals, career events, and recruiting platforms. They are also responsible for recruiting highly qualified applicants for Towne Insurance who embrace the Towne culture and desire to serve and please others while ensuring that the hiring and selection practices comply with all Federal and State Regulations regarding recruitment, hiring, and selection.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $65,000 to $85,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

About the Role:
  • Proactively identifies, sources, and engages passive and active candidates through direct outreach, professional networks, referrals, social media, resume databases, career events, and other approved recruiting channels.
  • Supports the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned openings, including intake discussions, job posting, sourcing, screening, assessments, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer support, and onboarding coordination.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand position requirements, candidate profiles, business needs, and selection criteria.
  • Enter new employees into the Payroll/Human Resources Information System (UKG).
  • Communicate with internal departments such as training, licensing, and IT regarding new hire information.
  • Provide a positive onboarding experience for new hires and hiring managers.
  • Recommend improvements to current processes and new approaches to contribute to the business’s success.
  • Attend career fairs, workshops, and networking events to identify and develop a qualified candidate pool.
  • Review received resumes and respond to inquiries regarding employment opportunities from prospective applicants.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with career counseling staff at colleges and universities within Towne’s footprint and attend career fairs, employment workshops, etc., to attract qualified candidates.
  • Assists in coordinating employee transfers, promotions, and salary administration as needed.
  • Assists other HR team members with various initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Handles other duties as assigned.
  • Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), including the Bank Secrecy (BSA).
Skills and experience you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge from experience in a human resources environment.
  • Must possess the highest levels of integrity, discretion, work ethic, and the ability to maintain extreme confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully and professionally with all levels of employees and applicants.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time accordingly.
  • Must be efficient and thorough, work well with little or no supervision, and be willing to help others.
  • Ability to work outside business hours as business needs dictate.
Bonus points if you have:
  • Prior insurance or insurance recruiting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Human Resources/Recruiting certification (i.e., CIR, PHR, SHRM-CP)
