Systems Administrator at Client Solution Architects

- Computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies; LAN/WAN architecture and pathways; bandwidth management principles and techniques
- Network traffic flow (TCP/IP and OSI model)
- Performance tuning tools and techniques
- Remote access technologies, Virtual Private Network (VPN) security, network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, directory services)
- Common network tools (e.g., ping, trace route, nslookup)
- File system implementations (NTFS, FAT, EXT); virtualization technologies and virtual machine management
- IT security principles and methods (firewalls, DMZs, encryption)
- Network security architecture concepts (topology, protocols, defense-in-depth)
- Cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
- National and international cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies
- Organizational IT user security policies (account management, access control)
- Data security standards (PII, PCI, PHI)
- System administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques
- Software-based computer protection tools (firewalls, antivirus, antispyware)
- Knowledge of transmission records (Bluetooth, RFID, IR, Wi-Fi) and jamming techniques
- Server and client operating systems
- Systems administration concepts and best practices
- Enterprise IT architecture; system/server diagnostic tools and fault identification
- Operating system command line/prompt (ipconfig, netstat, dir, nbtstat)
- System maintenance procedures (cleaning, disk checks, reboots, backups)
- Cloud computing service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
- Cloud computing deployment models (private, public, hybrid)
- Cloud security strategy and architecture
- Migrating workloads between cloud service models
- Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance
- Four (4) years of systems management experience
- IAT II Certification
