The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization with personnel worldwide. NCIS is the Department of Navy (DON) component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement, counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber matters. NCIS has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal activity, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.

What you’ll do- Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems. On-site engineering technicians use analytical and critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment or systems. Applies theories and writes reports to outline issues and solutions.
- Provide IT support throughout area of responsibility
- Utilize Service Now for change management, ticketing system, and asset inventory
- Coordinate troubleshooting efforts for resolution of network outages
- Perform Trusted Agent functions for SIPR Token program
- Assist users in the region with VTC system deployment and maintenance
- Support various admin duties, e.g., audits, inspections, create SOPs, various data calls, training requirements, etc.
- Support NMCI by gathering requirements, ordering equipment, and coordinating with the Contract Technical Representative (CTR).
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, configure equipment out-of-the-box, and support troubleshooting
- Help diagnose and resolve computer-related problems as requested by employees and contractors, either in person or by using remote control software
- Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with business applications and hardware on all enclaves
- Perform general maintenance tasks and resolve less complex problems; more complex issues are escalated
- Accurately document all work in appropriate problem-tracking software
- Brief Senior Leadership on IT issues affecting the area of responsibility
- Accurately document all work, inventory, and system changes in Service Now
- Travel (primarily local) is required for this position

- Security Clearance Level: Active Top-Secret clearance
- Required Experience: 5+ years of experience with network administration and user support; experience in a military environment is a plus
- Experience with installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple types of business and end user-specific application software in a large government installation
- Familiarity with a variety of technical support applications, concepts, practices, and procedures

Certifications:
Security+ CE and GSEC, MCSA, SSCP or CCNA-Security - Education: AAS Degree or equivalent work experience
- Work Location: Onsite in Norfolk, VA
- Travel: 25 - 50%

US Citizenship required. The likely salary range for this position is $73,965 - $97,750. This range may vary based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
