Database Administrator
Database Administrator job at CACI International. Norfolk, VA. Join CACI as the prime contractor on a growing program supporting NAVSEA 03D3 Digital Program Office as a Database Administrator supporting the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES), a mission‑critical program that supports over 45,000 users executing naval ship and submarine maintenance operations worldwide.
Responsibilities- Support database administration tasks for computerized databases
- Assist in installing databases onto appropriate computer operating systems
- Help create databases and configure them for data warehousing applications
- Support the creation of database objects including Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, and Views
- Assist with management of Rollback Segments and Data File Size
- Write basic code for update queries
- Update data dictionaries as new fields are added to databases
- Maintain data correction logs with proper documentation
- Support database performance monitoring activities
- Assist with backup and recovery operations
- Document database procedures and configurations
- Work under general supervision to support database operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 0 to 5 years of experience in database administration
- Basic knowledge of database concepts and procedures
- Understanding of SQL fundamentals
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery principles
- Experience with DoD/Navy systems
- Entry-level database certifications
- Knowledge of database performance basics
- Understanding of data security principles
- Basic scripting abilities
- Familiarity with database documentation practices
- Experience with database monitoring tools
$53,100-$106,300
