The Service Now Developer will design, support, develop, configure, test, implement, and maintain Service Now environments, working closely with customers and IT department leads to meet organizational needs. The role provides an opportunity to work on complex Service Now implementations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

• Proven knowledge of basic Service Now functionality and the ability to explain it to new users.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept applications on the Service Now platform to support business initiatives.
• Design technological solutions based on functional specifications, ensuring efficient and scalable implementation.
• Create, implement, and optimize Service Now workflows and procedures for streamlined processes.
• Design and develop customized Service Portal pages and widgets to support business needs and enhance user experience.
• Track, document, and resolve defects, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Participate in User Access Testing (UAT) to gather feedback from stakeholders, including ITIL process owners and clients.
• Manage update sets for transferring code to test and production environments.
• Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of Service Now and its applications.
• Process automation within the Service Now instance and other Information Services applications.
• Provide updates, status, and completion information for tickets in the work queue regarding current assigned incidents, resolution efforts, and projects.
• Coordinate and facilitate application and platform upgrades.
• Maintain an understanding of Service Now modules and software licensing functionality.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience with Service Now development and administration.
• Demonstrated expertise in Service Now modules ITSM.
• Proven experience configuring Service Now using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, ACLs, Script Includes, and UI Scripts.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to gather and understand requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Familiarity with Scrum or Agile development methodologies.

• Strong web development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP).
• Service Now Certifications (at a minimum Certified System Administrator (CSA)).
• Expertise integrating Service Now with other IT systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Demonstrated expertise in Service Now modules ITOM, ITBM, and Sec Ops.

• Must meet DoDD 8140 BASIC.
• Associate degree (AS/AA) or bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field, or possession of Systems Administrator expertise gained through prior education, training, or employment such as a military occupational specialty or classification.

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
