Job Description: Fiber Optics Cable Technician
Apex Systems is hiring for a Fiber Optics Cable Technician with a large government client supporting the Navy & Marine Corps in Norfolk, VA!

Location: On-site at Norfolk Naval Station, VA
Pay Rate:
Schedule/hours: M-F, 2pm-10:30pm
Qualifications:
- Active, DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance
- 1-2 years Fiber Optic Experience
- Experience with Fiber Optic tools
Responsibilities:
- Operate tools and equipment (including all necessary protective equipment) required to install, repair, and maintain copper and fiber optic cabling, associated media, and related infrastructure
- Experience with Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) standards
- Troubleshooting and repairing cable system infrastructure
- ISP - Responsible for making sure you can access the Internet, routing Internet traffic, resolving domain names, and maintaining the network infrastructure that makes Internet access possible
- OSP - Responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of outside plant infrastructure for telecommunications systems
