Position Overview
The proliferation of technology like IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence means that critical data is often locked away in complex, siloed systems. As a Data Scientist, you will be a key contributor to the technical solution, building end‑to‑end solutions with platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and AWS to enable our clients to tackle missions from fraud detection to cancer research.
You will help develop and deploy data pipelines, organize disparate data, understand client requirements, implement data ontology, support analyses, and configure user‑facing applications and workflows. You will be embedded with clients in a fast‑paced, agile environment, working under senior engineers, moving fluidly between data transformations, exploratory analysis, and front‑end module configuration to deliver a seamless user experience and close the gap between raw data and operational impact.
- 3+ years of professional work experience
- 3+ years of experience with data analytics and data visualization tools, including Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Microsoft Power BI
- Experience with color theory, typography, data‑ink ratio, or Gestalt Principles
- Experience with management advising techniques, including client interviews, data gathering, and problem‑solving
- Experience with scripting languages, including SQL or Python
- Experience briefing techniques, methods, and findings to senior personnel and leadership
- Knowledge of RDBMS, ETL processes using tools such as Databricks
- Knowledge of operations research techniques, probability and statistical methods
- 3+ years of experience capturing user requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and visualizing scientific methods and techniques, including mathematical, statistical, or econometric methods
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Operations Research, Management Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related Data Science field

The projected annualized compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $. The total compensation package includes health, life, disability, financial and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for Booz Allen’s benefit programs.
