The Opportunity
The Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES) program, under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), provides the backbone IT systems for public shipyards and regional maintenance centers. It enables the modernization of ship maintenance by delivering integrated planning, engineering, materials, and execution data.
Responsibilities- Configure and customize Microsoft Azure Dev Ops (ADO), including Azure Boards, Processes, work item types, and other ADO services to support Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, ensuring alignment with enterprise-level agile practices.
- Manage source control systems, including branching and merging strategies, primarily using Git Repos.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to foster effective communication and a smooth, efficient workflow.
- Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures and help educate software development teams on ADO and Git best practices.
- Support the broader NMMES team goals to automate SDLC processes, encourage innovation, and capture related metrics.
Required
- Active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work on‑site full‑time at Norfolk, VA facility.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in software engineering or application deployment.
- At least 5 years of experience as an Azure Dev Ops Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
- Release package and deployment coordination.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities (e.g., ADO, Git, build failures).
- Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing, optimizing, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Power Shell.
Desired
- Experience in creating and managing automated pipelines and build servers.
- Experience with SAFe and in-depth knowledge of configuring Azure Dev Ops to support SAFe processes and events.
- Familiarity with integrating Azure Dev Ops with other platforms, such as Service Now.
- Experience with programming using the Azure Dev Ops API.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Experience with configuration management tools.
- SAFe certification (SAFe Dev Ops Practitioner, Leading SAFe for Government, etc).

Pay RangeProposed salary range: $73,800–$155,100, adjusted for factors such as location, federal contract categories, skills, experience, education, and certifications. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and learning and development opportunities.
