Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, optimize, and maintain Citrix CVAD environments (focusing on versions 1912, 2402, and 2507) along with cloud resources within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Tier 3 Troubleshooting:
Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex session startup errors, performance degradation, and infrastructure bottlenecks utilizing deep knowledge of the OSI model.
  • Component Knowledge:
Manage and fine-tune core Citrix architecture components, including Delivery Controllers (DDC), Store Front (SF), Workspace Environment Management (WEM), and Virtual Delivery Agents (VDA/VDI).
  • Cybersecurity Compliance:
Drive quarterly Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) compliance through proactive vulnerability scanning, aggressive risk mitigation, and robust technical reporting.
  • Automation & Scripting:

  • ITSM & Communication:
Manage the operational lifecycle of tickets inside Service Now, accurately documenting Incidents (Inc), Knowledge Base entries (KB), Problem Cases (PB), and Change Requests (CR).
  • On-Call Operations:
Because the work directly impacts fleet readiness, these platforms demand a 24/7/365 operational posture with a target of 100% uptime, requiring participation in a structured team on-call rotation requiring an aggressive 15-minute response time on task, when not onsite.
  • Represent the engineering team on critical incident bridge calls with Government Command Centers and end-users.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently perform a wide variety of complicated tasks.
  • May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
  • Responsible for directing the work of other system administrators to provide day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
  • Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
  • Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administration procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
Qualifications Required
  • Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoW/Navy programs.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Requires US Citizenship

Secret. An active Interim Secret clearance is acceptable for onboarding on day one.

Desired
  • 4+ years of direct, hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Citrix CVAD platforms.
  • Advanced fluency with Power Shell for server management, tasks automation, and tool deployment.
  • Demonstrable experience troubleshooting Citrix Session Launch sequences and deep network pathing.
  • High familiarity utilizing Service Now for Enterprise IT service request tracking and change control.
  • Prior experience working within a military command center structure or supporting US Navy software modernization initiatives.
