Automation Tester – Lead II (Software Testing)

UST is searching for an Automation Tester who will design, develop, and own the end-to-end manual and automated tests for assigned releases.

• Create and maintain automation suites using Selenium (Java)/Playwright (Typescript), Appium and REST API frameworks.
• Lead and coordinate testing activities for modules, owning quality gates and exit criteria.
• Drive in-sprint Agile testing and represent QE in sprint planning, estimation, and risk discussions. Actively validate user stories within sprint, ensuring early detection.
• Contribute to automation stability, optimization, and best practices.
• Use AI assisted testing solutions to accelerate the testing tasks (test generation, smart test selection, failure insights, self healing concepts).
• Define and optimize functional, regression and E2E execution strategies leveraging shared frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Mentor A1/A2 engineers, review automation code, and drive QE standards, processes, and continuous improvement.

• 5+ years of performance testing experience with Load Runner.
• Proficiency in Dynatrace for application performance monitoring and diagnostics.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Cloud Watch, Lambda, etc.).
• Basic to intermediate Linux skills (shell scripting, system monitoring, file management).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., C, Python, Bash).
• Understanding of system architecture, cloud computing, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range: $78,000 – $117,000

Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the U.S. are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short‑ and long‑term disability benefits.
