Responsibilities
- Provide technical and analytical IT support, including responding to customer requests.
- Assess system shutdowns and software defects; coordinate with IT management to recommend replacement, modification, or other actions to safeguard hardware, software, and automated information.
- Develop, install, and troubleshoot customer hardware and software issues.
- Assist in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining hardware and software; integrate a variety of Commercial‑off‑the‑Shelf (COTS) software packages.
- Identify recurring or unprecedented IT deficiencies, investigate causes, and recommend remedial action to operating officials to ensure continuity of operations, satisfy end‑user requirements, and enhance customer service.
- Coordinate with hardware contractors, software vendors, and end users to monitor and assure system quality, reliability, and information security.

- This position may be used to fill future vacancies for various shifts located anywhere within DLA Information Operations, J‑6.
- This position may transition to DISA in Fiscal Year (FY) 2027; the candidate selected may be reassigned to DISA with the position in FY 27.
- Specialized experience:
One year of specialized experience that equips you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. - Develops, installs, and troubleshoots customer hardware and software issues.
- Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer IT problems and issues.
- Loads customer computers with the required software packages and keeps lead officials informed regarding installations, software quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Provides user training on PC hardware and software operations via telephone, email, remote access, and/or on‑site customer visits.
Education substitution: Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education. If using education to meet basic qualifications, you must submit a transcript as supplemental documentation.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
Combination of post‑high school education and experience can be used to meet total qualification requirements. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent for grade GS‑11. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS‑11.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience
