Senior Technician – ICT Systems Operations & Maintenance

We would like to meet a Senior Technician – ICT Systems Operations & Maintenance for a hybrid project based in Norfolk.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver first‑call resolution in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide Level 1 support for incident management and service request fulfilment, escalating to Level 2 support when required.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot ICT assets including desktops, laptops, printers, and associated peripherals.
- Perform software installation, configuration, and maintenance on Microsoft Windows workstations.
- Record, track, and update all support activities within the approved ticket management system.
- Ensure compliance with Technical Assistance Center (TAC) standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor assigned tickets, provide regular status updates, and follow up with users to ensure successful resolution.
- Support asset management activities and contribute to maintaining accurate ICT inventory records.
- Escalate user complaints, recurring incidents, and problem management issues when necessary.
- Deliver proactive customer support and maintain high levels of user satisfaction.
- Provide direct support to end‑users, including VIP personnel, within a multinational and fast‑paced operational environment.
Minimum 3 years of experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of computer systems within Local Area Network (LAN) environments.
Minimum 3 years of experience administering and maintaining Microsoft Windows 11 workstations.
Hands‑on experience with- Desktop and laptop deployment
- Printer installation and support
- Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) hardware and software
- End‑user support and troubleshooting
- Service Desk operations
- Incident and Problem Management
- Change Request Processing
- Availability Management
- User interaction and customer service
Experience working with ticketing and IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
Preferred Qualifications- CompTIA A+ Certification (Hardware & Software Fundamentals)
- Experience supporting enterprise or government IT environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer‑oriented mindset with a focus on service excellence
- Ability to work effectively in multinational environments
- Professional presence and confidence when supporting senior leadership and VIP users
