Job DutiesThe Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as an Enterprise Architect with the Enterprise and Security Architecture (EA) Division. EA is classically linked to a planning function operating between strategy formulation and design while contributing to effective business decision making, and enterprise intra- and inter-operability. This position supports VITA’s statutory responsibilities to oversee the coordinated, effective, and efficient management of the Commonwealth’s Information Technology (IT) resources, with particular emphasis on:
- Conducting appropriate research and analysis on technology and IT solution components
- Developing and maintaining technology and IT solution standards
- Creating and maintaining technology roadmaps
- Reviewing IT solution designs

Minimum QualificationsExtensive experience in Enterprise Architecture with experience in Architectural Frameworks.
Considerable experience working with tools supporting Enterprise Architecture, Capability Technology Management, IT Portfolio Management, or another related area.
Considerable experience in IT Planning and establishing IT strategies, goals, objectives, and measures.
Considerable experience in developing IT related policies, standards, and requirements.
Considerable experience in current information technologies; trends and best practices; IT business solutions.
Considerable knowledge of one or more IT disciplines like: IT Solution governance, Cloud-based hosting, Integration, Interoperability, Enterprise applications, Business Architecture, Capability models, Software development, Artificial intelligence (AI), IT auditing, Security frameworks, Risk assessments etc.
Considerable experience demonstrating customer-targeted written and oral presentation communication skills.
Considerable experience in meeting deadlines.
Additional ConsiderationsExperience in public sector.
Experience with Archer, Planview, Ardoq or equivalent EA related tools.
