Beacon Hill Legal is staffing a contract-to-hire Legal Assistant position for a boutique law firm based in Norfolk, VA.
This Legal Assistant will support the firm's Collections Compliance department and be responsible for reviewing and managing escalated consumer matters (including disputes, complaints, fraud claims, bankruptcy, and deceased accounts) by accurately documenting account activity, preparing consumer correspondence, and escalating issues to clients within required deadlines.
Qualifications- 1+ years of debt collections and/or bankruptcy experience, within a law firm or corporate legal setting.
