Job Summary
: SEACORP is seeking a Logistician specializing in supply chain management to support marine navigation programs. This role focuses on ensuring the continuous availability of critical components for surface and submarine platforms through rigorous lifecycle and logistical support. The successful candidate will manage complex procurement strategies, navigate military stock systems, and provide in-service engineering support for Navy navigation equipment.
- Supply Chain Oversight
:
Manage the end-to-end supply chain for naval navigation systems, ensuring the procurement and delivery of components meet project deadlines. - Inventory & Stock Management
:
Direct the interface with the military stock system to track, store, and retrieve parts and materials required for shipboard systems. - DMSMS Management
:
Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), focusing on aging components and system obsolescence. - Life-of-Type (LOT) Procurement
:
Develop and execute LOT buy strategies to ensure long-term supportability for legacy and modern naval navigation architectures. - Mil-Spec Material Selection
:
Coordinate the selection of Mil-Spec and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) materials to ensure all components meet established naval performance standards. - Documentation & Reporting
:
Maintain accurate logistical databases and prepare comprehensive reports concerning material status and project specifications. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
:
Interface with engineers, project managers, and Government stakeholders to resolve logistical bottlenecks and provide technical information. - Lifecycle Support
:
Provide in-service logistical support, including the coordination of field changes and maintenance schedules for Navy navigation equipment.
- Supply Chain Specialist I, II, III - Bachelor's level degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or technical discipline.
- Supply Chain Specialist VI - Master’s Degree and Logistics DAWIA Level 3 certified or equivalent desired.
- Supply Chain Specialist I - No requirement for prior professional service.
- Supply Chain Specialist II - 3 years of professional service.
- Supply Chain Specialist III - 7 years of professional service.
- Supply Chain Specialist IV - 10 years of professional service.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
