Inventory & Asset Management Specialist NATO security clearance

The Senior Logistician is a key operational role responsible for the management and optimization of all logistics, inventory, and supply chain functions for the Global Combat Fleet (GCF) and other designated areas. This position requires a professional capable of managing complex logistics processes, analyzing performance data, and implementing solutions to ensure the efficient and cost‑effective flow of materials and equipment. The incumbent will provide expert guidance on inventory control, distribution, warehouse operations, and asset management, supporting both internal and external customer requirements.

• Works with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) processes and operations.
• Maintains item and inventory management records.
• Helps minimize bottlenecks and delays to reduce operating costs.
• Uses real‑time inventory software to move supplies as needed.
• Assists in resolving issues related to physical space management.

• Coordinates daily work of inventory management across locations.
• Establishes standard inventory benchmarks to improve processes.
• Ensures inventory levels meet internal and external requirements.
• Provides guidance on inventory management for specific product groups or locations.
• Identifies and coordinates inventory requirements using systems and processes.
• Reviews reports to identify and resolve inventory-related problems.

• Develops and analyzes logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
• Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
• Implements and maintains monitoring systems for shipment status, dates, and locations.
• Considers domestic freight issues and historical, legislative, and practical factors.
• Participates in contract negotiations and interfaces with carriers to maintain service levels.
• Consults on major logistics processes, interactions, and operational requirements.

• Recognizes and uses software systems or components for supply chain management.
• Participates in supply‑chain analysis to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
• Considers integration of partner and supplier transactions.
• Summarizes supply‑chain considerations for various product types.
• Works with a specific part of the supply‑chain process.

• Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management.
• Assists in implementing mechanization approaches in a distribution center.
• Collects and translates business requirements for warehouse system specifications.
• Performs basic warehousing activities: receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities regularly.

• Maintains NCIA CIS Assets Property Accounting Records for NCIA entities and external customers.
• Enables customer logistical requirements within service level agreements.
• Executes annual inventory inspections per NCIA directives and coordinates with account holders.
• Conducts detailed analysis of asset‑management system deficiencies and provides aligned solutions.
• Monitors account holder inventory balances, investigates discrepancies, documents findings, and implements corrective actions per NCIA directives.
• Assists in processing requisitions and receiving goods through the Enterprise Business Application (EBA) system.
• Responsible for shipping and receiving equipment between CIS Sustainment Support Centre (CSSC), distributors, and stakeholders.

• Higher vocational training or secondary education.
• 2–4 years of experience in Supply, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.

• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) or CNAFS.
• Completion of IPSAS – Asset Management Course.
• Completion of Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) Course.
• Knowledge of NATO Logistics Regulations.
• Prior experience in an international environment with military and civilian elements.
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
