Senior Logistician with Security Clearance
Senior Logistician:
Distribution Center Management - GCF
- Work with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) basics, processes, and operations.
- Maintain item and inventory management records.
- Help minimize bottlenecks and delays, reducing operating costs.
- Use real‑time inventory software to move supplies where needed.
- Assist in resolving issues related to physical space management.
- Coordinate daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network.
- Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve processes.
- Ensure that inventory levels meet internal and external requirements.
- Provide guidance on inventory management for specific product groups or locations.
- Apply systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolve conflicts.
- Review reports used for inventory management to identify related problems.
- Develop and analyze logistics plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory.
- Manage logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
- Implement and maintain monitoring systems to provide shipment status, in‑transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
- Work with historical, legislative, and practical issues associated with domestic freight.
- Participate in contract negotiations and interface with carriers to maintain service levels.
- Consult on major logistics processes and their operational requirements.
Supply Chain Management - GCF
- Recognize software systems used to manage the supply chain.
- Participate in supply chain analysis to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
- Discuss considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.
- Summarize supply chain considerations for different product types.
- Work with a specific part of the supply chain management process.
- Analyze and document key performance indicators of warehouse management.
- Assist in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center.
- Collect and translate business requirements for specifications of warehouse management systems.
- Perform basic warehousing activities such as receiving, putting away, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities regularly.
- Assist in maintaining NCIA CIS Assets Property Accounting Records for NCIA Entities and External Customers within CSU AoR.
- Enable Customer logistical requirements within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Enable the execution of Annual Inventory Inspections in accordance with NCIA Directives and coordination with Account Holders in NCIA Entities and External Customers within the CSU AoR.
- Conduct detailed analysis of Asset Management system deficiencies and provide solutions aligned with existing standards.
- Monitor Account Holder inventory balance lists, identify, investigate, document and report all CIS equipment discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in processing requisitions and receiving goods through the Enterprise Business Application (EBA) system.
- Ship and receive equipment between CIS Sustainment Support Centre (CSSC), distributors, and stakeholders.
- Higher vocational training or secondary education.
- 2–4 years of experience in supply, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) or CNAFS.
- Completion of IPSAS – Asset Management Course.
- Completion of Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) Course.
- Knowledge of NATO Logistics Regulations and responsibilities.
- Prior experience in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
Equivalent NATO Grade: G10
