Summary
As a Purchasing Agent in the Fleet Supply and Ordnance Directorate of the Commander, United States Fleet Forces Command, you will support procurement and financial management functions for Navy equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities- Operate Navy ERP ECC for procurement and financial management.
- Provide detailed instructions for non‑routine actions and review work for accuracy, compliance, and procedural adherence.
- Process routine to moderately complex purchase requests, applying FAR Parts 8 and 13.
- Execute lower‑risk standardized purchases using mandatory sources, catalogs (e.g., GSA Advantage, Fed Mall) and Blanket Purchase Agreements.
- Conduct basic market research and perform cost and price analysis to verify price reasonableness.
- Navigate and input transaction data in Navy ERP, PIEE, and GCPC under guidance.
- Identify and resolve issues, selecting appropriate actions such as vendor selection or financial entry correction.
- Ensure supplies and services are procured correctly and financial records are accurate, supporting system reliability and financial integrity.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be eligible for federal employment and able to participate in direct deposit.
- Must pass the E‑Verify employment verification check.
- Must obtain and maintain a security clearance and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Must be able to travel on U.S. and foreign aircraft to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as required; overtime or night differential may apply.
- Must complete ethics orientation and financial disclosure within the specified time frames.
- Must certify in the Acquisition
Functional Area
within the required timeframe under DAWIA.
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS‑07 or private/public sector experience matching the role.
- Experience with Navy procurement, purchasing, and financial management.
- Experience with the Government Commercial Purchase Card Program.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service.
- Experience with general supply and storeroom management.
