General Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Performs general maintenance as directed and as necessary on all aspects of building structure and systems to include floors, walls, ceilings, lighting HVAC, transportation systems, mechanical electrical, plumbing and other items.

This position is Mission Essential personnel t live within 30 minutes of SNGH campus. Must be able to work rotating shift, rotating weekends and be on-call as required. Support other Facility Shops as required.

• Perform general maintenance on building structure and systems as needed
• Inspect and repair floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, HVAC, and transportation systems
• Assist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other facility-related maintenance
• Support other Facility Shops (Electric/HVAC, Plumbing, etc) as required
• Maintain Mission Essential status as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Trade School

• Valid VA or NC Drivers License (In good standing)

• 2-3 years of Maintenance experience
• Commercial preferred
• Ability to assist with other Facility Shops (Electric/HVAC, Plumbing, etc)
