The CSU Deputy Director will assist the CSU Director in managing the operations of the court service unit. Directs and manages the work of assigned CSU divisions, manages human and capital resources, and ensures the proper application of all pertinent policies and procedures according to departmental, state, local and judicial requirements.
- Considerable knowledge of federal, state, local, and public laws and ordinances relating to criminal justice.
- Considerable supervisory work experience in a juvenile court service unit setting.
- Considerable case management experience and experience assessing and evaluating the needs of juveniles in a criminal justice setting.
- Experience applying the principles/practices of organizational management to include planning, data analysis, and personnel management.
- Ability to oversee implementation, evaluation, and administration of a variety of diverse programs within the unit and with other agencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, stakeholder agencies, and public officials.
- Experience utilizing automated case management systems.
- Knowledge or experience in budgeting practices.
- Experience implementing and utilizing Evidence Based Practices in a juvenile justice setting
