CEO – Norfolk, VA ($200k+) Summary

Urgent need for CEO in Norfolk, VA for federal housing project. Experience with public housing authorities and HUD required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and implement organizational goals and priorities.
  • Oversee agency operations, housing programs, redevelopment initiatives, and administrative functions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations and procurement requirements.
  • Lead executive staff and promote operational efficiency, accountability, and ethical governance.
  • Serve as the primary representative to residents, community stakeholders, government agencies, and partner organizations.
  • Foster community engagement and support initiatives that enhance resident services and neighborhood revitalization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of senior leadership experience in public housing, redevelopment, or community development organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of HUD programs, affordable housing operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical leadership, transparency, and organizational accountability.
