Production Technician

Sector: Manufacturing (non-food)

Location: Commutable from Norwich & Lowestoft

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive / to be discussed

Working Hours: Mon to Fri | 12-hr days & nights | 06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00

Shift Pattern

This is a Monday to Friday role, working a 3-week rotating 4-3-3 pattern of 12-hour days and nights (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00).

Key Duties
  • Carry out machine and equipment safety checks before start-up and complete the relevant documentation.
  • Support the Shift Manager in achieving team plans, including cleaning, improvement, training and labour plans.
  • Prepare equipment, tooling and raw materials required for job start-ups, tool changes and colour changes.
  • Operate and monitor production processes to ensure output, quality and efficiency targets are achieved.
  • Inspect, pack and identify products to ensure they meet specification requirements.
  • Provide cover during break periods and training sessions when required.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and work in accordance with the 6S system.
Production Technician - Criteria
  • Engineering/Manufacturing background and strong mechanical aptitude (essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Engineering/similar (advantageous).
  • Experience with in plastics manufacturing or a similar production environment (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of EBM, ISBM or IM processing (advantageous).
  • Polymer Processing certification preferred or competency gained through experience and/or internal training (advantageous).
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.
