Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Outpatient Wound Care Department. Overview
Day Shift; 7:45 am - 4:30 p.m.
NO WEEKENDS; NO HOLIDAYS
Wound Care Certification is not required
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Our team performs a wide variety of critical services from mitigation to developing treatment plans and educating the patient and their family on how to reduce a patient’s pain and promote healing as quickly and completely as possible. But the caring does not stop there. As a wound care nurse, you will get to know your patients and develop relationships.
EducationDegree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
Registered nursing License (Required)
BLS required within 90 days of hire
A minimum of 1 year nursing experience. Wound Care experience highly preferred.
