Job Description:
The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Unit
Description:
9A is a 16-bed medical /surgical unit that specializes in rehabilitation. Our Nurses are able to gain skills in medical/surgical nursing to include physical assessments, IV therapy, central line care, pain management, provide proper skin, wound vac care, burn trauma care, medication administration, and also help develop goals of care with the interdisciplinary team (physical, occupational, and speech therapists). We are looking for compassionate nurses to join our team that help can encourage and educate our patients to self-manage and prepare them for a smooth transition to their home setting and the community.
Education:
- ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
Certification:
- Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
Experience:
- Nursing experience Inpatient Rehab a plus!
