Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a full‑time Unit Coordinator RN (Registered Nurse) in its Main Operating Room.
Operating Room Overview- We have 12 operating rooms and one procedural room.
- Up to 60% of our cases are total joints; the remaining cases are general, robotics, GYN, urology, plastics, vascular.
- Full Time; 40 hours per week
- Rotating Shift
- Minimum of 18 months of relevant nursing experience is required
- BSN is required
The Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, the Unit Coordinator leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. The role increases staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
