Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Emergency Department (ED) – Level 1 Trauma Center. Shift: Full Time – Evening shift.
Unit OverviewThe ED is a 53‑bed unit within a 525‑bed medical center that serves as the region’s primary teaching facility and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in a 126‑mile region.
Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients.
- Perform bedside rounding and conduct patient checks.
- Administer medications.
- Communicate with family members.
- Ensure overall quality of patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient outcomes.
- Bachelor of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 18 months experience as a nurse.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
