Job Overview
The Nurse Practitioner applies advanced education and clinical competencies to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role involves working on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The Nurse Practitioner provides health promotion and maintenance through diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions, prescribes medication, examines patients, diagnoses illnesses, and provides treatment. The role requires working under minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment on complex issues, and developing functional strategies relevant to the organization.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medication and develop treatment plans.
- Examine patients and assess health status.
- Develop functional strategies and advise executives on significant matters.
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex tasks.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8 or more years of technical experience.
- 2 or more years of project leadership experience.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or PA license in the appropriate state.
- Patient-facing role as part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program; must be screened for TB.
- Masters in Science of Nursing / PA.
