Overview
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse to work a 14‑week assignment on Mother/Baby. The position is for a Travel RN – Mother/Baby. Must have 2 years of recent RN hospital Mother/Baby experience and some on‑call coverage (two 12‑hour shifts per 6‑week period).
Position Details- $70.00/hr pay rate

The Sentara Norfolk General Mother‑Baby Unit is a 30‑bed unit. Nurses assess mothers, ensure proper healing, and provide self‑care education to new mothers during the postpartum stay. The unit encourages the new mother to room with her baby. The Mom‑Baby Nurse ensures that the newborn is assessed, cleaned, fed, and swaddled, and educates the mother on proper infant care.
Qualifications- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Must have two or more years of current Mother‑Baby hospital RN experience.
- Experience with high‑risk newborns.
- Experience with magnesium drips.
