About the PositionRegistered Nurse – Telemetry – Travel RN assignment at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The unit provides care to adult surgical patients, including bariatric, urology, general, ENT, plastic, GYN surgeries, trauma overflow, and Living Kidney Donor Transplant patients. Candidates must have at least 18 months of Telemetry RN experience within the last 3 years.
ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care and monitoring to patients on the telemetry unit, using EMR for documentation, administering epidural and PCA analgesia, managing wound VAC and feeding tubes, handling vascular devices, and caring for dialysis fistula patients. Monitor patients with diabetes, COPD, CHF, kidney disease, and oncology surgery needs.

Experience:
2 years (minimum 18 months of Telemetry experience in last 3 years)

Certifications:
BLS-AHA; ACLS-AHA; CERT-NIH Stroke Scale
• Availability:
Holidays, Weekends, Float shifts
