Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA. The RN provides competent nursing care using the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN must also meet professional performance standards in ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in the operating room.
- Apply the nursing process and standard of practice for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination, education, and evaluation.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
- RN Degree required.
- Virginia RN License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Prior RN or Operating Room experience preferred.
