OverviewSentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for our Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown).
Position OverviewDemonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Department OverviewThis 24 bed Unit is blended with 8 Step-Down beds for patients who are too ill for general medical/surgical, but do not need an intensive level or care for the ICU. 16 beds in this unit are for Med/Surg patients to include some cardiac.
Education- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required) or MSN (Preferred)
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 18 months of relevant nursing experience required
