We are looking for skilled, caring, Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team. In this role you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical care and support to adult patients with mental illness at Norfolk Regional Center.
Licensed Practical Nurses perform duties within scope of practice including:
- Initiate therapeutic interactions with patients
- Transcribe doctor’s orders
- Evaluate physical health and emotional status of patients
- Perform assigned patient education
- Complete order entry
- Supply inventory and ordering; use of electronic medical record.
- Will be a contributing member of the interdisciplinary treatment team delivering holistic and individualized care to patients
Starting Pay Rate: $40.00/hour for new hires. Additional $3/hour facility differential pay, plus additional shift differential pay.
Shift Options 8-Hour Shifts- Day Shift: 6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
- Evening Shift: 2:45 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.
- Night Shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Day Shift: 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
- Overnight Shift: 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.
Our regular scheduling model offers consistency and predictability, including:
- Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts each week
A current license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Nebraska is required.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge or experience working with patients with mental illness or psychiatric disorders. Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Ability to: be flexible and adapt to rapidly changing situations. Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic working relationships. Work and function as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
