Overview
Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a part‑time position with a sign‑on bonus of up to $10,000 for qualified candidates and relocation packages are available.
Unit OverviewThe 7N unit is a 16‑bed, mixed‑acuity intermediate care unit that provides highly skilled care to a diverse patient population.
ResponsibilitiesThe RN is responsible for performing competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation). The RN must adhere to professional standards, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health. Clinical knowledge and skills must meet the standards required by specific clinical areas.
Education- RN Degree REQUIRED
- Virginia RN License REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire
- Prior RN experience PREFERRED
