Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse Traveler for a Critical Care Stepdown Unit – Progressive Ventilator Stepdown Unit (PVSU). The assignment is full‑time and night shift, lasting 14 weeks with a pay rate of $70 per hour.
Education- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Diploma in Nursing
- Virginia or Compact Multi‑State nursing license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Two or more years of hospital in‑patient acute care experience, including ventilator and tracheostomy management
- Assess and admit patients to the unit
- Conduct daily rounding checks
- Administer medications
- Communicate care plans and progress to family members
- Provide overall patient care in a collaborative team environment
