OverviewSentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Oncology Unit.
Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Department OverviewThis unit cares for patients with cancer in an inpatient, 36 bed Intermediate Care Unit. We are hiring compassionate RNs to monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments. The care that we deliver is dynamic! Our care includes but is not limited to:
- Chemotherapy
- Hospice
- Radiation
- Stem Cell Transplants / CAR-T
- Radioactive Iodine
- Symptom Management
- Bachelor of Science Nursing - BSN Required
- Registered Nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 18 months of relevant nursing experience
