Overview

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, Virginia. A sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for qualified candidates. Relocation packages are available.

Full‑time, day shift (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.). Norfolk, VA.

Unit 7N is a 16‑bed, mixed IMC unit that provides highly skilled care to a variety of patients.

The Registered Nursing (RN) performs a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical‑thinking nursing process. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, evaluation, and the application of nursing standards of practice and professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health). The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills required for the specific clinical area and is required to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

• RN Degree REQUIRED

• Virginia RN License REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire
