Averett University Pediatrics; PEDS Clinical Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking highly energetic Nursing Pediatric Clinical Instructors for an Accelerated Bachelor of Science of Nursing (ABSN) program in Norfolk, VA.

As a Nursing Clinical Instructor and faculty member, you will serve as the primary educator for students in the ABSN program, teaching and evaluating students in clinical settings at partner health care facilities in the Norfolk area.

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting
• Provide guidance for students related to professionalism, practice, and research
• Select and organize learning activities to meet course objectives
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice
• Promote evidence‑based practice
• Provide a supportive learning environment by giving feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel
• Collaborate with other faculty, administration, and partner healthcare staff
• Attend required orientation, training and faculty meetings

• Preferred:
  Two years of teaching experience
• Master’s degree in nursing
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Virginia or any compact state
• Completed BSN
• Two years of successful clinical nursing practice
• Currently attending MSN (or equivalent)
• Able to work 8‑12 hour shifts in clinical setting
