Job Overview
Position: School Nurse RN (Registered Nurse) - $50+/hour
Location: Norfolk, VA 23510
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care in a school setting.
- Conduct nursing assessments and diagnoses for students.
- Administer medication to students.
- Provide skilled nursing to students with disabilities as needed.
- Document student interactions, medication administration, and parent health concerns.
- Provide emergency care for students, staff, and guests during school hours.
- Initiate referrals to parents and school personnel for intervention, remediation, and follow-through.
- Provide parental updates on students' health status and notify parents in emergency situations.
- Serve as nursing liaison among students, staff, administration, and parents.
- Minimum of one year nursing experience.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Active Virginia RN nursing license.
- Valid CPR certification (in-person).
- Monday – Friday during school hours.
- Rates starting at $50 per hour.
