This role involves providing anesthesia care across multiple facilities, including a Level I Trauma Center and community hospitals, with a focus on adult patients and limited pediatric cases. Clinical Scope
- Supports adult patient population; limited pediatric cases; no cardiac cases
- Performs regional anesthesia: epidurals, spinals, arterial lines
- Provides anesthesia for trauma, high-risk OB/GYN, orthopedic, general, thoracic, and neurosurgery cases
- Handles large vascular cases
- Involved in trauma cases, with no expectation for cardiac cases
Practice Environment
- Hospital-based across multiple facilities, including a Level I Trauma Center with 700 beds
- EMR:
Cerner - Fast-paced trauma environment with extensive support staff and interdisciplinary collaboration
Requirements
- Active Virginia medical license
- Board Certified (active certification verification required)
- Level I Trauma experience required
