Signature HealthCARE seeks a Unit Manager to lead daily operations for a long-term care and post-acute unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. This on-site leader oversees nursing and support staff, ensuring safe, resident-centered care aligned with our faith-based, mission-driven culture. Responsibilities include clinical oversight, care coordination, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, budgeting, and staff development. The Unit Manager partners with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families to promote dignity, compassion, and optimal outcomes while driving continuous improvement in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the long-term care unit to ensure safe, resident-centered services
  • Supervise, coach, and schedule nursing and support staff for optimal coverage and performance
  • Monitor clinical quality, care plans, and documentation to meet regulatory and company standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care
  • Engage residents and families, addressing concerns and promoting dignity and quality of life
  • Track key performance metrics, budgets, and resource utilization for the unit
  • Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing competencies
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements
  • Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, faith-based mission, and continuous improvement
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational projects as needed
