As a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will plan, provide, and monitor individualized nursing care for pediatric patients recovering from surgery at the facility, which is a standalone children’s hospital offering specialized pediatric care. You must have a current Virginia RN license or a valid compact state license.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. At least 1 year of PACU or perioperative nursing experience is needed. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is important. Recommended skills include strong pediatric assessment abilities, adaptability, and effective communication.
