Overview

We are seeking highly energetic Nursing Obstetrics Clinical Instructors for an Accelerated Bachelor of Science of Nursing (ABSN) program in Norfolk, VA. The role involves the clinical education of students in the ABSN program, working with partner health care facilities in the Norfolk area.

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting.
• Provide adequate guidance for students related to professionalism, practice, and research.
• Select and organize learning activities that facilitate attainment of course objectives.
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice.
• Promote evidence‑based practice.
• Provide a supportive learning environment by giving feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel.
• Collaborate with other faculty, administration, and healthcare partner staff.
• Attend all required orientation, training, and faculty meetings.

• Current unencumbered RN license in Virginia or any compact state.
• Completed BSN.
• Minimum two years of successful clinical nursing practice.
• Preferred:
  Two years of teaching experience.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in nursing.
• Currently attending MSN.
• Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in a clinical setting.
