Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Room is responsible for providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in emergency situations.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Emergency setting.
The role includes performing triage, managing critical care procedures, and administering medications as needed.
Common diagnoses treated include asthma, diabetic keto acidosis, and sickle cell disease.
The RN will participate in moderate sedation, chest tube care, and the use of advanced ventilation support.
Responsibilities also include interpreting 12-lead EKGs and managing blood product administration.
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4, ensuring optimal patient care.
The position requires teamwork with ancillary staff to deliver comprehensive care.
