Registered Nurse – Physician Practice

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments
• Provide patient education and self-management support
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care
• Manage patient messages and results within scope
• Support prevention and population health outreach
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked clinical environment
• Document care in the electronic health record
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Provide nursing care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic setting
• Support chronic disease management, prevention, and continuity of care
• Coordinate with physicians and office staff

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required
• Current state RN license is required
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN examination is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
• One to two years of ambulatory, clinic, or medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
• Ambulatory Care Nursing (AMB-BC) certification is preferred
• Skilled ambulatory assessment and triage
• Knowledge of chronic disease management, prevention, and immunizations
• Ability to assist with procedures and examinations
• Strong patient education and care coordination
• Effective telephone and message triage
• Proficiency with the electronic health record and clinical documentation
• Comfort supporting population health outreach

Demonstrates expertise in patient assessment, triage, and care coordination within an ambulatory clinic setting. Proficient in chronic disease management, immunizations, and electronic health record documentation.
