Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry float pool environment across applicable units based on facility need
- Float to various units as requested based on census and staffing needs
- Chart accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC
- Complete required NIH and stroke education as part of facility compliance for acute care RN roles
- Maintain compliance with all unit-specific and facility-wide clinical standards and protocols
- Active RN license — Virginia license required to be in hand at time of submittal, or proof of a valid compact license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- EPIC charting experience required
- NIH and stroke education required
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty experience within the last year
- One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
- SSN required at time of submittal
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate
- Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit acute care setting
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Strong adaptability and ability to acclimate quickly to varying unit environments
- Opportunity to expand clinical experience across multiple units within a well-established acute care health system
- Contract position offering schedule consistency with expected 3x12-hour night shifts per week
