Compensation: $48–$68 per hour (1099 – Independent Contractor)
Position OverviewSandy Mac Evolution is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to provide contractor support to the Capability Development (CAPDEV) Quality Management function. This role supports capability development lifecycle processes, quality management systems, and requirements engineering activities.
The selected candidate will provide independent quality assurance of capability development processes, ensuring compliance with established standards, risk-based assurance methodologies, and continuous process improvement principles.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. No benefits are provided.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent quality assurance of information, management products, and capability development processes
- Conduct quality assurance and process reviews aligned with established quality criteria and performance metrics
- Support programme and requirements managers in identification, elicitation, capture, analysis, evaluation, integration, and maintenance of high-quality capability requirements
- Contribute to development, maintenance, and governance of requirements repositories and lifecycle traceability
- Support ISO 9001-aligned quality management processes and formally certified quality environments
- Identify risks, corrective and preventative actions, and improvement opportunities
- Produce risk-based quality reports and evidence-based assessments
- Support capability lifecycle activities across DOTMLPFI domains (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, Interoperability)
- Contribute to continual process improvement initiatives
- Participate in workshops, meetings, and coordination activities as required
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, information systems, business administration, public administration, operations research, project/program management, or related discipline
- Minimum five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years in Quality Assurance, including requirements engineering processes
- Demonstrable recent experience (within the last five years) supporting processes formally certified under ISO 9001 standards
- Experience using IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), Rational DOORS Next, or equivalent requirements/quality assurance tools
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- Experience supporting structured capability development or lifecycle management environments
- Experience performing risk-based quality assessments
- Familiarity with performance metrics, KPIs, and benchmarking methodologies
- Experience supporting complex program or portfolio management environments
$48–$68 per hour, depending on qualifications and depth of experience.
